Position Overview
We are looking for a creative, self-driven Content Creator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about small businesses, social media, and community engagement. As a Content Creator at The Collective, you will work closely with our team to develop engaging content for our marketing and promotional efforts. While the position is hybrid, you will stay connected with the team via regular communication, including weekly video meetings and email. You will also be required to attend both public and member events to capture content and promote our brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation: Develop on-brand content (photos, videos, copy, social media posts, etc.) for marketing purposes across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and more.
- Event Coverage: Attend and engage with attendees at events hosted by The Collective and its members, capturing live content (photos, videos, stories) to promote the events.
- Content Scheduling & Coordination: Plan, schedule, and facilitate photo/video shoots with clients, members, and staff as needed.
- Content Creation: Manage and create content for The Collective’s social media channels, create engaging posts, reels, and stories that align with current trends and company objectives.
- Collaboration: Communicate marketing plans and performance updates to the team during weekly meetings, ensuring alignment across initiatives.
- Networking: Build relationships with clients and local entrepreneurs, identifying potential new members and opportunities for collaboration.
- Event Support: Run live social media coverage during public and member events, ensuring real-time engagement.
Qualifications
- Social Media Expertise: Experience managing and creating content for Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.
- Current Trends: Well-versed in the latest social media trends, tools, and content formats (reels, stories, posts, etc.).
- Creative Skills: Strong ability to create compelling content that aligns with brand voice and goals. Knowledge of Google Drive and Squarespace is a plus.
- Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Collaboration: Self-motivated, but able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with colleagues.
- Event Engagement: Comfortable attending and capturing content at live events, both in person and virtually.
- Community Mindset: A passion for supporting small businesses and fostering growth within the local community.
- Positive Attitude: Strong interpersonal communication skills and a can-do attitude are essential.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
