ABOUT THE COLLECTIVE
The Collective was founded in 2019 as a community for entrepreneurs. We support our members, all small business
owners, through networking events, workshops & other events. Our members work together to support the local
community through givebacks.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The Marketing Coordinator (MC) will work closely with our team in all aspects of the business with a focus on marketing & promotion. While they will generally work remotely, they will be in regular communication with our team via text, phone, video chat, email and weekly team meetings. The MC will be required to attend public & member events put on by The Collective and must be available to go to locations for possible content outside of TC events.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Proficiency in social media management, running ads, Mailchimp, Google Drive, and Squarespace.
-Strong organizational skills and effective time management
-Firm grasp of proper grammar, spelling & punctuation.
-Maintains a positive and professional demeanor when dealing with team, clients and the public
-Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
-Self-motivated & works well in a team environment
-Works well in large groups of diverse people in a fast-paced environment
-Passion for small businesses & our local community
-Eagerness to learn and contribute in various aspects of the business
-A positive attitude and exceptional communication skills are essential
TASKS
Create and implement a marketing strategy & schedule to encompass everything going on with The Collective, including but not limited to Farmed & Forged and our members
Marketing & Media Management
-Led brand and team in overall marketing strategy
-On-brand content creation (copy, photo, video, graphics, print material, emails, etc.)
-Design and run effective social media ads
-Engage with audiences on social media, responding to posts and direct messages
-Oversee website management, maintenance, SEO optimization and updates
-Develop and implement email marketing campaigns
-Write and distribute press releases
-Capture content & run social media during public and member events as needed
Communication
-Keep the team informed about marketing plans and performance, presenting updates during weekly meetings
-Work directly with our content creators to ensure necessary content is captured
-Attend outside meetings with clients as needed
-Network, identify & recruit new members
-Gather and compile marketing information from relevant parties (e.g., nonprofits, venues, sponsors)
Consulting
-Collaborate with the team to develop our consulting program
-Schedule and facilitate marketing consulting with clients (as needed)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
