Job Summary
The clinical phase faculty member works as part of the PA Medicine Faculty team with the Director of Clinical Education, other Clinical Faculty, and Program Manager to recruit, establish, coordinate, maintain, evaluate and support clinical students, clinical sites; to coordinate clinical rotations for the PA students during their clinical training; and to deliver the clinical phase curriculum and other areas of instruction as needed. The position also assists the Program Director/Department Chair and other faculty members in the leadership and management of the program, ensuring the program promotes college and program goals and excellence.

Job Summary

Clinical Phase Faculty
- Locates, recruits, establishes , coordinates, maintains, supports, and evaluates clinical sites and rotations.
- Assists the Clinical Director of Education with creating a suggested rotation schedule for clinical phase students based on student preferences and preceptor availability.
- Establish and maintain efficient and effective relationships with clinical partner organizations in order to coordinate clinical rotations with health systems rotation. coordinator/administrator/ clinical coordinators and ensure student rotations are filled
- Communicate with Program Manager to ensure student rotation information is entered into appropriate rotation matching software depending on site.
- Assist clinical team in maintaining an accurate and complete database of potential preceptors.
- Perform clinical site visits with students/preceptors throughout the clinical phase
- Create, deliver and evaluate student learning assessments.
- Participate in the development, coordination, evaluation, and revision of didactic and clinical curriculum with the PA faculty team.
- Participate in and support the work of program accreditation maintenance.
- The individual must exhibit exemplary communication, presentation, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Provide inclusive academic advising that meets the needs of a wide diversity of learners of multiple backgrounds.
- Serve on department-level committees including admissions.
- 2 years of clinical experience
- Hold at least a Masters degree as a PA, NP, or Medical Physician
- Board Certified PA, Physician, or NP and hold a current Minnesota PA, physician, or NP license, or be eligible for PA, physician, or NP licensure in Minnesota.
- Experience in teaching in graduate education
- Doctoral degree
- Maintenance of clinical practice encouraged.
