Job Purpose/Description
The Marketing and Communications Department of The College of St. Scholastica invites enthusiastic and creative students from all backgrounds to apply for the newly launched social media ambassador program! As a social media ambassador, you will be responsible for creating social media content that aligns with the College’s strategic goals and objectives.
There is a time commitment expected to average 5 hours per week. While gaining vital knowledge and experience in the communication and marketing field, you can also earn internship credit toward completing your degree. We encourage applications from students of all backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. Job Duties
- Create social media content to showcase campus life in an authentic and creative way
- Independently produce short-form videos (TikToks, Reels, Stories, etc.)
- Capture high-quality photos to be featured across St. Scholastica social media accounts
- Curate and take photos for St. Scholastica social media use
- Collaborate with departments to create cohesive and impactful social media content
- Cover St. Scholastica on- and off-campus events from a social media perspective
- Stay up-to-date on trends and best practices related to social media and digital accessibility
- Other duties or projects as assigned
Required Qualifications
Must be a current CSS student- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with social media platforms and respective best practices
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadline
Preferred Qualifications
- Photography and/or videography experience
- Ability to attend on-campus events for multimedia purposes
