Education and / or Experience :
Bachelor's Degree required.
The qualified candidate will have two years of digitization experience in an archival repository or library with experience managing complex digitization projects.
An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities :
Skills :
Strong time management skills.
Excellent organizational skills; high attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication and computer skills are necessary for this position as well as supervisory experience.
Knowledge :
Demonstrated knowledge of processing and preserving archival collections, including digital preservation standards, workflows, and best practices.
Experience with handling rare / archival materials and knowledge of scanning methods and hardware for archival documents, including working with a variety of image formats.
Demonstrated knowledge of metadata standards for describing digital collections, including Dublin Core, MODS, DACS, METS, and EAD.
Experience with institutional repository and digital content management platforms, including CONTENTdm, Omeka, Collection Builder, and Digital Commons
Abilities :
Demonstrates an ability to collaborate & work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from students, faculty, alumni, and the general public.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, work under deadlines, and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Strong professional ethics and discretion with an attitude of respect for all employed at College of Wooster.

This role is in an office environment.
This is a primarily sedentary role but requires some delivery and travel between buildings and departments.
