Our Boston hotel with pool has been considered one of the world’s sexiest rooftop pools, offering a refined urban retreat.
POSITION PURPOSE:
The Food Runner/Busser is responsible for assisting the service staff in the successful delivery of both food and beverage offerings to our guests. The runner will insure the proper set-up and closing of the operation on a daily basis, while also maintaining a clean and organized area throughout service.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service
- Assist Servers with food service.
- Comfortably exhibit menu knowledge of both food and beverage offerings
- Clear tables and pick up food from the kitchen, ensuring food quality and accuracy before delivering food to Roof Top Pool
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
Skills, Abilities and Experience needed to be successful
- Candidates must be at legal age to handle alcohol.
- Previous experience preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Must be available to work a varied schedule to include days, nights, weekends and holidays.
The Pool is open Memorial Day to Labor Day (weather permitting).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods of time and move frequently from area to area. Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, reach with hands and arms. Ability to carry and balance dishware and glassware in the course of service. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift in indoor/outdoor environments.
