- Provide first-line technical support for staff and students
- Assist with password resets and account management
- Troubleshoot issues on Mac, Windows, Chromebook, and Android systems
- Offer basic support for BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) equipment
- Check out loaner equipment to staff and students
- Manage and maintain GSuite, Office, and other basic software
- Provide basic service and maintenance for printers and copiers
- Set up and troubleshoot projectors and cable connections
- Assist in network infrastructure maintenance and cable management
- Configure VOIP phones and manage telecom systems
- Collaborate with vendors for specialized support
- Inventory and maintain assets keeping their locations up-to-date
- Prepare testing computers and update software
- Contribute to IT documentation and knowledge base
- Prioritize quality customer service
- Provides IT education for our staff and students
- Work with direction from the IT Coordinator
- Additional duties as assigned
- Previous helpdesk, customer support, or technical support experience
- Familiarity with either GSuite or Office 365
- Basic networking knowledge
- Experience with VOIP systems
- Basic knowledge of asset management and tracking using appropriate tools
- Strong interest in technology and IT systems
- Excellent customer service skills and patience when working with users of varying technical abilities
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Comfortable with troubleshooting hardware issues, and familiarity with tier 1 processes for computers, projectors, printers, and peripherals
- Familiarity with Mac, Windows, Chrome, and Android OS environments
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Comfort with physical aspects of the job, such as lifting equipment, running cables, and walking a large 8-building campus
- Passion for learning and staying updated with new technologies
- Adaptability and willingness to take on various tasks
- Patience and empathy when dealing with users of all technical levels
- Ability to explain technical concepts in simple terms
- Enthusiasm for working in an educational environment with students and staff
