We are now accepting resumes for our Credit Analyst role located in Portland, OR. This position has a flexible hybrid work schedule. The ideal candidate for this role will have the skills and experience necessary to fulfill the following responsibilities and qualifications:
- Conducts credit investigations, credit and loan analysis, underwriting, prepare credit presentations, and other documentation information pertaining to loan analysis.
- Investigates all available sources of credit and financial information, including reporting services, credit bureaus, other companies, main office files, and branches.
- Responsible to understand the loan request and ensures the accuracy and completeness of financial information received for loan renewals.
- Analyzes financial statements and related materials and works with Relationship Managers to make recommendations for credit approvals.
- Analyzes financial conditions and trends and prepares tracking for loan compliance.
- Determines business and individual cash flow analysis.
- Prepares summaries, presents facts, and offers opinions concerning credit-worthiness and identifies risks.
- Ensures that all credit files include current financial statements, agency reports, etc.
- Partner with Relationship Managers to recommend loan structure.
- Proactively monitors and manages loan portfolios to ensure accounts are current, and watch for developing credit weaknesses. Share insights with Relationship Managers.
- Keeps abreast the bank’s credit policy, all new credit regulations and laws, and ensures compliance with such.
- Assists with other projects as outlined by manager or Relationship Managers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Require a Bachelor in finance, business, accounting or a related field and 3 yrs credit/financial analysis, lending, underwriting or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet job requirements.
- Working knowledge of financial and spread analysis, credit, lending and underwriting processes and principles.
- Experience working with various types of loans.
- Working knowledge of credit risk, legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to work with Relationship Managers and or staff, including client service and treasury management operations.
- Good client relationship, teamwork, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to make sound decisions and recommendations regarding loans.
- Working knowledge of computer software programs including Excel (to create spreadsheets), Word, and Moody’s Analytics, etc.

- Salary Range: $70,875 to $103,950 depending on experience.
