What are the responsibilities and job description for the Education Mentor position at The Community Action Committee of Pike County?
The Education Mentor provides mentoring and support to the Early Childhood
Education Staff. The Education Mentor is responsible for observing and assessing classroom and home
visit activities as well as providing on the job guidance and training. This position will advise
teaching staff in High/Scope and environment structure as outlined in best practices for the
High/Scope curriculum. The Education Mentor provides activity feedback to improve the
quality of services provided.
This position is in a well-lighted office environment. This position requires occasional local and regional travel for the purpose of engaging with the assigned programs/departments and training. Work is fast paced and involves multiple, sometimes competing priorities, and management of multiple projects. Can involve moderate-to-high levels of stress.
