The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll administration. Responsibilities :
- Prepare and audit employee records to ensure accurate payment of wages for 1,500 hourly and salaried employees in multiple states on a bi-weekly basis
- Update and maintain employee records within HRIS software for taxes, earnings and deductions
- Print and distribute payroll checks and direct deposit advices
- Assist with assurance of compliance with federal and state laws and regulations
- Research and respond to internal and external inquiries regarding employee records
- Analyze and test system modifications related to payroll processes
- Reconcile payroll deductions and bank accounts to the corresponding general ledger accounts and create necessary journal entries
- Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure accurate and efficient payroll processing
