- Provides leadership in the department, helping to build and maintain strong core capability in robust design and development ensuring effective and efficient results from team
- Works collaboratively with PMO to develop estimates and build and oversee execution programs as required
- Supports all phases of the development process working with engineers to develop technical solutions and architectures, working with systems engineers to develop requirements, leading a multi-discipline development team to model, design, and test new products
- Providing technical leadership to help resolve production issues, post-delivery failures, as well as obsolescence and supply chain issues
- Leverages broad based technical background with the ability to lead multi-disciplined technical teams
- May be responsible for TDP cost and schedule management and oversee supplier engagement for the lifecycle of both development and sustainment programs
