Responsibilities
- Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
- Assist the manager in directing the department.
- Oversees the operation and assists the department in any needed way.
- Assist on training and on-boarding process.
- To establish a high degree of excellence in our guest rooms, suites and corridors, ensuring the guest receives only the highest standard of services that are equal to the high level of guest and management expectations.
- Responsible for training of all Room Attendants.
- Ensures all floors are stocked properly and adheres to all parts.
- Inspect and complete inspection reports.
- Ensures the daily discrepancy report is distributed to the front office manager and accounting department.
- Ensures and supervises housekeepers that are fully equipped with the supplies that they need to take care of the guest.
- Ensures the efficient flow of correspondence between housekeeping and other departments, as well as with guests.
- Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs.
- Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.
- Be knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheet, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures, and events.
- Follows all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor.
- Completes safety training and certifications.
- Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others, supports the team in reaching common goals, and listens and responds appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Ensures uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintains confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by the Manager/Director.
Qualifications
- Hospitality oriented
- Previous housekeeping management experience.
- Must be able to bend, squat and stretch, lift weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
- Able and willing to perform basic cleaning duties.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Fully bilingual (Spanish and English)
