We are looking for high quality Job Coaches to join our team in Wisconsin Rapids! We are committed to hiring Job Coaches who embody our mission and who are passionate about serving individuals with disabilities in our community.

- Enjoy variety and can learn new jobs quickly to best support their consumer
- Display excellent interpersonal communication to communicate effectively between Managers/Supervisors, co-workers, and the consumer
- Practice being un-offendable; by nature, many of the consumers we work with need to learn general work skills, including social skills. Ideal candidates understand that uncomfortable situations may occur at work and feel prepared to handle them
- Unreservedly believe in, display, and encourage disability awareness, acceptance, and inclusion
Summary of Responsibilities:
Based on your availability, Job Coaches will be scheduled to work with a variety of consumers each week.
Job Coaches will meet each consumer at their place of employment and will work with the consumer for the assigned shift (typically 1-6 hours in length). The main responsibility of a Job Coach is to assist the consumer to learn their job tasks, increase their independence, and also to perform general work expectations (accepting feedback, asking for help, working efficiently and with proficiency, etc.).
In some cases, job coaching can fade (decrease) slowly over time, in other cases the consumer may need a Job Coach long term.
Job Coaches will write and submit a report (template provided) detailing the support they provided to the consumer, after each shift.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- 5 years of employment or volunteer experience working with or supporting people with disabilities, preferred
- Bachelor’s degree related to human services, special education, or rehabilitation, preferred

Physical Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, good driving record/insured vehicle for daily use, required
- Access to a cell phone and ability to communicate via calls, text, and email in an efficient and professional manner
- Ability to model, demonstrate, and train various job duties and tasks to consumers in various employment locations

Scheduling
- Job Coaching schedules are set using an app called Homebase. Job Coaches must use this app to access their schedule and to request time off.
- Typical hours are Monday-Friday between 7:30am-5pm; however, evening and weekend hours are sometimes required.
- Job Coaches typically work between 10 and 30 hours per week; the number of hours varies from week to week and are solely based on consumer needs.
