Overview
The Custom Order Fulfillment position is responsible for picking, packing, and shipping various modes of orders including Business Sales, Installation Shipments, Wholesale, Motor Freight, and DFW employee orders.
This department processes all non-parcel orders in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating closely with other departments within the company.
This is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

Responsibilities
- Handles the pull, sort, count, pack, build process of all Business to Business, Motor Freight, Wholesale, Installation and DFW employee orders.
- Responsible for processing the more complex customer orders in the distribution center, including heavy / bulky picking and detailed packing and paperwork.
- Responsible for dispatching USPS, UPS and LTL shipments
- Performs all work to 100% of engineered labor management standards, with an 85% utilization.
- Maintains clear, concise and professional communication and interactions
- Collaborates closely with various departments within the company, including Business Sales and Customer Solutions Departments to ensure on-time delivery, order accuracy, and troubleshoot issues
- Partners with other areas within the distribution center, working collaboratively with system planners, supervisors, DC management and other
- Maintains discretion related to all confidential / sensitive company and customer information
- Shows flexibility and willingness to work in other areas or types of work as needed by the business
- Consistently arrives promptly to work the assigned schedule, self-managing attendance to adhere to the written distribution center attendance policy

Qualifications
What You Bring To Us
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to operate powered equipment
- Ability to follow direction
- Engage with management team to clearly communicate business needs
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and a safe manner
- Strong computer skills : proficiency in Outlook, Word and knowledge of Excel and with preferred knowledge of Warehouse Management System, MSC, and SCI
- Is committed to working scheduled hours and has the flexibility to work additional hours based on changing business needs
- Knowledge of industry business and passion for following trends in the industry
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing, at all levels within and outside the organization
- Ability to quickly separate the mission-critical tasks from the lower priority tasks; focuses on the most value-added projects of the day or week
- Flexible, with a positive attitude and passion for knowledge
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects at once
