Key Responsibilities
- Client Outreach & Sales Development: Proactively engage with builders, designers, architects, and contractors to generate leads and establish long-term business relationships.
- Estimating & Bid Preparation: Review project plans, conduct site visits and take accurate measurements. Prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates that ensure profitability.
- Sales & Negotiation: Present proposals to clients, negotiate terms, and close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with fabricators and project managers to ensure smooth execution from bid acceptance to project completion.
- Market & Industry Awareness: Stay informed about competitor pricing, market trends, and new opportunities in the steel fabrication industry.
- Customer Service & Relationship Management: Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in sales and estimating within steel fabrication, construction, or manufacturing.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of steel fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.
- Estimating Software: Proficiency in estimating tools and the ability to create precise cost proposals.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
- Sales & Negotiation Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and successfully closing deals.
- Organizational Abilities: Detail-oriented with excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Self-Motivation: A proactive, results-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detailing and Drawings: Experience in detailing or creating shop drawings for fabrication is a valuable asset.
