Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Double-Entry Accounting: Manage and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions using the double-entry accounting system.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Job Costing: Analyze and interpret job cost data to track project costs, profitability, and overall financial performance.
- Banking Management: Manage and reconcile banking transactions to ensure proper cash flow management.
- Payroll Management: Coordinate payroll processing with external payroll providers and ensure accurate data entry into accounting systems.
- Bookkeeping & Client Billing: Oversee invoice entry, maintain up-to-date bookkeeping, and manage client billing processes.
- Tax Management: Calculate and manage local tax payments such as F&E and Business taxes.
- Human Resources Support: Handle paperwork related to new hires, terminations, and pay adjustments.
- Audit Assistance: Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits, including insurance audits.
- CFO Support: Act as a strategic partner to the CFO, supporting financial planning and decision-making.
- Experience:
- Five years of experience in accounting, financial management, or construction-related financial operations, with a solid understanding of job cost accounting OR
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, STEM, or related fields.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting software is preferred, particularly in construction or job-costing systems.
- Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Knowledge: In-depth understanding of accounting principles, auditing processes, and best practices in financial management.
