Provide guidance and coaching to foster team development.-Financial Reporting : Oversee financial reporting, including financial statement preparation, job costing, and month-end close processes. Ensure accurate and timely financial reports that align with company goals.-Strategic Growth : Leverage your experience in growing a company to support financial strategies aimed at achieving $50M in revenue. Help the team connect daily tasks to larger strategic initiatives.-Process Improvement : Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying areas for process automation, increased efficiency, and enhanced data analytics. Execute initiatives that drive change.-Budgeting & Forecasting : Develop and manage budgets and forecasts that align with company growth goals. Provide financial analysis to support decision-making and long-term planning.-Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with leadership, project managers, and external partners to ensure financial alignment and contribute to broader company objectives.-Cash Flow & Working Capital : Manage cash flow and working capital strategies, ensuring financial stability and growth.-Compliance & Tax Filings : Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, including sales tax, B&O, and 1099s. Coordinate with external CPA for annual tax returns.The ideal candidate should possess : -Qualifications : -Experience : 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably in the construction industry. Experience growing a company to $50M in revenue.-Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA or CMA preferred).-Team Dynamics : Ability to cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment, supporting long-term employee engagement and growth.-Flexibility : Comfortable working both onsite in the office and remotely, with occasional offsite events or meetings required.-Technical Skills : -Software Proficiency : Expertise in QuickBooks Online Advanced, Microsoft Excel, and Google Sheets.-Accounting Knowledge : Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and job costing.-Systems Familiarity : Experience with construction industry systems such as BuilderTrend and Asana is preferred.-Automation & Analytics : Proven ability to lead financial process automation and implement advanced data analytics.-Professional Skills : -Leadership : Proven ability to grow and scale a finance team, empowering team members to take initiative and thrive with minimal oversight.-Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial data and strategies to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.-Problem-Solving : Excellent analytical skills with the ability to see the big picture, tie it to daily tasks, and resolve complex financial issues.-Organizational Skills : Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and timelines in a fast-paced environment.-Motivation & Growth : Strong internal drive for continuous improvement and growth.
