- Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance, including:
- General handyman work (light fixture replacements, drywall repair, appliance troubleshooting, lock changes)
- Basic plumbing (unclogging drains, fixing leaks)
- Basic electrical repairs (outlet replacements, minor wiring fixes)
- Routine HVAC filter changes and minor troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance to reduce future repair needs
- Conduct property inspections to identify and address maintenance issues.
- Meet tenants at properties for service visits and inspections.
- Use GPS to navigate job sites and complete tasks efficiently and professionally.
- Maintain clear communication with the Property Manager to ensure smooth scheduling and task completion.
- Takes ownership and gets things done without waiting for permission.
- Communicates clearly and directly—no nonsense, just results.
- Works efficiently, but also values quality and craftsmanship.
- Enjoys working independently, yet appreciates a strong team environment.
- Wants predictability in a schedule with no nights or weekends.
- On-call shifts, nights, or weekends - Your schedule is predictable.
- Scheduling service visits - The Property Manager handles that for you.
- Interacting with property owners - Your focus is on maintenance.
- Large renovation projects - Those are handled by the construction team.
- Previous experience in general property maintenance, handyman services, or a related field.
- Comfort with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general home repair.
- Ability to assess and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Reliability and commitment to high-quality work.
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage tasks effectively.
- Ability to use and maintain tools; experience with property management software is a plus.
- Comfortable using a personal vehicle for work (with mileage reimbursement).
