Key Responsibilities
- Review project documents, blueprints, and specifications to determine scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and time projections.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure cost efficiency.
- Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to achieve the best project value.
- Maintain and update estimating databases and software tools.
- Track project changes and provide budget adjustments accordingly.
- Participate in project bids, client proposals, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and best practices.
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or in a similar role within general construction.
- Industry specialization in commercial, industrial, or government (federal) projects.
- Strong analytical and research skills with expertise in estimation metrics.
- Experience with construction estimating software and cost analysis tools.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certification as a Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus but not required.
