Full job description
We are seeking an experienced construction estimator with 2 plus years of expertise in Aquatics, Hardscapes and Playgrounds contracting. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop accurate cost estimates, analyze project requirements, and collaborate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for swimming pools, splash pads, water features, hardscapes and playgrounds for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to create competitive proposals.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to align budgets with project goals.
- Monitor market trends and material costs to provide up-to-date and competitive estimates.
- Review historical data for benchmarking and cost forecasting.
- Assist in value engineering to optimize project budgets without compromising quality.
- Maintain thorough records of estimates, bids, and related documentation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial contracting estimating.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficient in, Buildertrend, Procore, Bluebeam, Takeoff programs or other software.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required).
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
