Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the installation of traffic signals, ensuring all work meets project specifications.
- Read and interpret construction plans and electrical schematics.
- Coordinate with clients, inspectors, and project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Manage and handle materials, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
- Oversee and perform both overhead and underground electrical installations.
- Operate and direct the use of all equipment on-site, including lifts, trenchers, and drills.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor team members, promoting efficiency and skill development.
- Conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and resolve any technical issues.
- Proven experience in traffic signal installation or a related electrical field.
- Trenching and laying conduit
- Installing Quazite and ground boxes
- Execute drill shaft process (tying rebar, using pressure driller to drill pier, setting anchor bolts, forming the concrete for the pier)
- Building the traffic signal arm with LEDs, back plates and cameras/radars
- Wiring the entire intersection, including the cabinet and controller
- Must be able to lead crew and train others
- Crew Leadership & Skilled Labor Recruitment: Bonus for managing a team of workers, bringing on skilled laborers as needed to ensure project efficiency and meet deadlines.
- Ability to independently lead a crew and manage full project lifecycles.
- Strong knowledge of overhead and underground electrical systems.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction plans.
- Experience operating heavy equipment used in signal installation.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of NEC codes and requirements.
- Preferred but not required: TRF450 & TRF453 certifications.
- OSHA, fall protection, and lift operation training preferred (company-sponsored training available).
