What are the responsibilities and job description for the Installation Lead position at The Cook & Boardman Group, LLC?
Supervise team of field installers, as well as install doors & hardware using impact & cordless drills, skill saws, grinders, belt sanders, routers, jig saws, but not limited to other power tools. Supervise approximately 2-6 Installers.
Essential Functions
Spends majority of time standing, kneeling/crouching/stooping, using hands and reaching. Frequent lifting required of items 25-50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Work Environment
May be exposed to variable weather conditions. Other conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and using various tools and hardware. Worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.

Essential Functions
- Attends job site weekly meetings as needed
- Supervise installers each day on the job site
- Toolbox topics
- Daily reports on job sites
- Use tools properly to ensure safety and protect quality of doors and hardware
- Analyze drawings, sketches, work orders to complete task at hand
- Prep doors to receive hardware
- Install frames, doors, hardware & accessories per manufacturer requirements
- Report any damaged products to supervisor
- Manage time to complete tasks at hand efficiently
- Operate equipment safely and use safe work habits
- Examine finished product for defects to ensure conformance with quality
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to lift/carry 25-50 lbs. frequently
- Experience using power tools, saws, drills etc.
- Industry experience with installation of building materials preferred
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Drivers license preferred but not required
- Must have strong math skills, communication skills, problem solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret a tape measure
- Ability to determine what type of tool and equipment are needed for a job
