Position Title : Event Services Internship
Position Reports to : Event Operations Director, Assistant Managers
Employee Categories : Full Time Seasonal
FLSA Category : Non-Exempt, Hourly Position
The Event Services Intern will train as a server in our Banquet department and function areas. Interns will rotate through a variety of different event types as well as formats. Interns will also gain an understanding of how an event is planned all the way through execution. He / she will be exposed to multiple areas of the Club’s operations including (but not limited to) Food & Beverage, Pool & Pool Café, Paddock, A la Carte Dining, and other departments. This person works closely with the Banquet team to achieve and exceed member expectations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Train in multiple Food & Beverage areas of the club.
- Enhance member satisfaction through exceptional service.
- Gain an understanding of proper execution of different types of events
- Assist with breakdown and setup of multiple rooms for future events.
- Cooperate and communicate with all operational staff.
- Maintain communication with Management Team.
- Take food and drink orders from members accurately and with a positive attitude.
- Familiarization of multiple areas of the Club facilities (i.e. Clubhouse, Reception, Pool, Pond House, Paddock, Curling).
- Build rapport with other departments to ensure proper member satisfaction.
