Job Description
The Part-Time, As-Needed Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Adams County Courthouse and associated County offices, including the protection of employees, visitors, and the property itself. This role utilizes access control equipment such as metal detectors, X-ray machines, alarm systems, and closed-circuit cameras to monitor and secure the premises. As a safety-sensitive position, the Security Officer must be highly attentive and reliable.
Minimum Qualifications :
- A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a certified military or civilian police officer OR licensed Security Officer (Act 120, Act 2, Act 235, Florida Class D & G or similar).
- The ability to successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screening test, criminal background check, and minimum qualification with issued semi-automatic handgun is required.
