We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team in a dynamic food service environment. As a Server, you will be crucial in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing top-notch service, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks will be essential in this fast-paced role.
Duties:
· Customer service: Greeting and seating customers in a friendly and professional manner
· Taking orders accurately, transmitting orders through POS
· Setting up a table after each customer
· Opening the restaurant—Setting up chairs, which may have been moved or placed on top of tables for cleaning; refilling containers of salt, sugar, and other condiments; and stocking bathroom supplies
· Closing the restaurant—Cleaning the workstation, and helping wait staff to complete dining set up for the next shift or day
· Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items and specials to enhance the dining experience.
· Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to guests while maintaining high standards of presentation
· Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
· Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
· Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication regarding orders.
· Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and service stations.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations within the food industry to provide a safe dining environment.
Requirements:
· Previous experience in guest services or the food industry is preferred but not mandatory.
· Familiarity with POS systems
· Strong cash handling skills with attention to detail.
· Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts.
· A passion for hospitality and providing outstanding customer service.
· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Knowledge of kitchen operations and food service practices is beneficial.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights as required by the role.
