What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Receptionist / Attendant position at The Critter Cradle?
This is a flex position - including dog walking, feeding, cleaning of kennels, and reception work; interact with clients as they pick up and drop off their dogs.
-Kennel attendants may be required to work irregular hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays. They also must be prepared to handle dogs that may be stressed due to being in an unfamiliar environment. Kennel worker's should always use caution when feeding and exercising boarded dogs. Ensuring that the dog's are being properly handled and cared for, and maintain contact with owner's during drop off/pick up. Customer service skills are key in this position.
-The Receptionist's responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about kennels, rates and amenities, as well as monitoring the daily operation of the kennel; ensuring that the dog's are being properly handled and cared for, managing the kennel staff and maintain contact with owner's during drop off/pick up. Must be over 18 years old.
Must have a reliable ride.
Must have the ability to be on your feet for 6 plus hours a day.
Must be able to pick up pets that weigh up to 50 pounds.
Skills
- REQUIRED: 1 year work experience as a desk associate / receptionist / data clerk or similar role
- REQUIRED: 1 year pet care experience, not including your own pets.
- 1 years customer service experience
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
Salary: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour , based upon experience

Must be flexible as shifts will vary week to week
