About The Role :

Renowned for its collective creativity and adaptable design process, our client is a reputable multidisciplinary interior design and architecture firm that places passionate creativity at the heart of its design narrative. Their designs are built on a foundation that seamlessly blends inspiration with functionality.

They are seeking to hire an Upper-Level Intermediate Project Designer to work on a diverse range of projects specializing within the workplace sector. In this role, you will play a key role in generating concepts and advancing design development, while actively supporting the project team to ensure each project’s successful completion.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Contributed to the full design process from initial concept through final execution
  • Create, guide, and present design concepts directly to client stakeholder groups
  • Collaborate with vendors, furniture suppliers, and manufacturers to finalize FF&E selections, ensuring alignment with project budgets and timelines
  • Define the approach for team-produced design deliverables, encompassing renderings, finish plans, elevations, and material selections
  • Ensure code compliance and proactive construction planning, while consistently adhering to the firm’s Quality Assurance Programs
  • Utilize expertise in REVIT, along with a strong understanding of construction and detailing, to efficiently generate contract documents
  • Engage in client communications, including presentation pitches, incorporating feedback into the design
  • Collaborate with general contractors, project managers, and consultants to ensure that design solutions align with both budget constraints and project timelines
  • Perform detailed markups and oversee the organization and coordination of drawing sets, ensuring accuracy and alignment with project specifications and design intent throughout the process
  • Maintain effective communication between contractors and vendors

Key Skills / Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Interior Design or related fields
  • 6 years of post-graduate experience
  • Certification or licensure is preferred but not required
  • Notable postgraduate experience within the workplace design sector is mandatory
  • High proficiency in 3D rendering software specializing in Revit
  • Comprehensive experience in producing and overseeing interior drawings and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of codes, constructability, budgeting, and drawing set management
  • Comprehensive understanding of FF&E, joinery, and detailing
  • Previous experience in creating FF&E RFPs to support the selection process for dealers and suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of interior design elements, including millwork, contract furniture, and a wide range of interior finishes
  • Proven ability to excel in graphic design, as well as verbal and written communication, ensuring clear and effective messaging
