Payroll Specialist

HM Preferences:

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

Hybrid-1 day WFH, 4Days in Office

Key Results Areas

• Support Payroll Accuracy SLA at or above current SSC requirements

• Support payroll team Service Request Ticket resolution SLA at or above current SSC requirements

• Ensure key quality control activities are completed according to established schedule and guidelines

• Support team projects and continuous improvement initiatives

Responsibilities:

� Prepare and submit paper payroll checks for employees who do not have direct deposit

� Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays

� Familiarize yourself and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors

� Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll specifications

� Maintain and document all payroll records

� Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records

� Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports

� Reconcile general ledger with regard to payroll transactions

� Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll

� Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns

• Support Sr. Payroll Analysts in delivering high-quality results to payroll customers

• Support reoccurring and ad hoc reporting including production of basic to intermediate reporting to various internal and external stakeholders

• Support various project initiatives including collection of user requirements for system enhancements and solutions

• Support periodic and cumulative audit processes for monthly, quarterly and annual activities

• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

� Microsoft office, Word, Excel

� Excellent organization and mathematical skills

� Familiarity with Windows-based computer programs a must

Education/Experience:

� Bachelor�s Degree in Accounting preferred

� Experience with payroll processing and wage attachment

� 2-4 years of Experience
