PURPOSE

The Cashier is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for every customer while overseeing point of sale (POS) operations and processing payments accurately, efficiently, and in adherence to all company policies and store standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge, and all other components of guest service.

• Takes orders while paying attention to order details and communicating orders to baristas.

• Serves beverages and prepared food for dine-in or to-go orders.

• Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions at POS registers.

• Maintain stock of clean mugs and plates and wash when necessary.

• Maintain a clean and sanitized work area by complying with health and safety guidelines.

• Ensure customer seating areas inside and outside are clean and well maintained.

• Brew coffee and/or tea as needed and prepare beverages ensuring adherence to recipes.

• Assists with cleaning and sanitizing FOH & BOH employee work areas, customer seating areas, patio area, and restrooms.

• Communicate customer feedback to management.

• Contributes to a positive team environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

• Ability to follow instructions and procedures.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Good time management skills.

• Good interpersonal skills and willingness to work as a team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or a GED

• 1 years of prior cashier experience with basic knowledge of POS systems. * Available to work flexible hours, which could include early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay: $16.55 - $20.55 per hour
