OPPORTUNITY SUMMARY
The Industry Marketing and PR student lead will oversee the Earn and Learn coordinators and assist the team in dividing workloads and helping prioritize. In addition, this person will lead concepting and drafting of our monthly news columns, working with their mentor and branch campus administrators to identify relevant faculty members for each, as well as interviewing the faculty members for the columns. They will also interface with the food and features editors to deliver the completed columns, along with recipes and photos.
This person will also oversee the other students and review draft media highlights reports, monthly alumni in the news columns and draft conference communications prior to them being shared with the mentors. The person in this position will gain an understanding of working with media outlets, and will also gain valuable managerial / supervisory experience. The individual will also assist in developing conference marketing and public relations plans and learn how to merchandise results. They will also continue to develop basic public relations skills that can translate to all areas of their future career, from presentation skills to writing feature copy to working with journalists.

Prior experience as an extern and / or earn and learn student with the Industry Marketing and PR teamSuccessful completion of College Writing and Professionalism and Life SkillsStrong computer experience in MS Office suite products, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPointStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills; ability to be adaptable, dependable and handle multiple priorities simultaneouslyPREFERRED PRIOR EXPERIENCES
