The Opportunity
The Curiosity Crew is seeking a passionate and engaging History Educator to join our vibrant homeschool community. In this role, you will develop and deliver engaging, hands-on history lessons to students ages 6-12. You will foster a love of learning and critical thinking skills as students explore the past. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator who would like more flexibility in teaching styles and is looking to work with an engage, small cohort of students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans aligned with co-op learning objectives and catering to diverse learning styles.
- Produce resources and/or suggest academic enrichment for students to use at home and continue their academic journey that align with co-op learning objectives
- Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and historical exploration.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods with a focus on hands-on activities, collaborative learning, simulations, and project-based learning.
- Encourage student participation through open discussions, group projects, presentations, and collaborative learning activities.
- Provide constructive feedback to improve students' historical understanding and research skills.
- Teach two one hour and 20 minutes classes to two different age groups (1st through 3rd grade and 4th through 6th grade). Classes meet on Tuesdays from 10am - 12:40pm
Qualifications:
- Strong passion for history and the ability to share that enthusiasm with students.
- Prior experience working with children in a homeschool or educational setting (preferred). Teaching license not required.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
- Familiarity with various historical resources and curriculum materials is a plus.
- Prior experience working with neurodiverse students preferred
- Pass background check
Compensation:
This position offers a competitive stipend commensurate with experience. Additionally a 20% tuition discount per dependent enrolled is offered.

Pay: $190.00 - $240.00 per day
