POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The IT Services Manager will be responsible for overseeing the management and enhancement of IT services, infrastructure, and technical support within the organization. Acting as the primary point of contact for IT services, this role will liaise with DCCK’s managed service provider, coordinate vendor relationships, and ensure the optimal functionality of hardware and software systems. This individual will play a key role in both strategic and hands-on IT operations, including network and data security, budget management, asset management, and supporting staff and students with training and technical needs. Additionally, they will streamline office IT processes and support equipment and service needs, enhancing operational efficiency and end-user satisfaction across the organization.
*This is a site-essential role, which requires 100% of the work hours to be onsite (primarily, the Klein Center).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as the primary liaison with Managed Service Provider, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT best practices.
- Assess and partner with vendors to identify improvements and innovative solutions.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting for IT assets, ensuring cost-effective updates and replacements.
- Provide onboarding, educational, and technical support for staff and students on end-user devices, software, and audio/video/conferencing tools.
- Manage Knowbe4 cybersecurity awareness training by designing, scheduling, and tracking employee training modules to reduce security risks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, security, and media studio equipment.
- Ensure security and functionality of audiovisual, teleconferencing, and other IT infrastructure.
- Analyze and track IT-related inquiries, escalate unresolved issues as necessary, and follow up to ensure timely resolutions.
- Administer and monitor network and data security protocols, including group policies, firewalls, antivirus, and email security.
- Regularly audit and maintain security systems, ensuring adherence to IT security standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all office and IT equipment, including tracking upgrades, service agreements, and leasing contracts.
- Oversee the distribution, collection, and maintenance of office equipment for staff and students, ensuring optimal conditions.
- Ensure company desktops/laptops are regularly updated to ensure optimal performance and security protection.
- Manage IT policies related to terminated employees, including account deactivation, forwarding rules, and “out of office” messaging.
- Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement in IT procedures to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Perform other duties and tasks as required to maintain quality relationships with all our partners and / or duties and tasks needed to drive the vision, mission, and values of DC Central Kitchen.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer Science, or a related field, and at least 4 – 6 years of related experience OR equivalent combination of education, training, and experience (Non-profit environment preferred)
- Prior supervisory experience and demonstrated ability to apply management best practices
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and security
- Experience with network administration, data security, and troubleshooting of end-user devices and audiovisual equipment
- Experience using O365 and other systems within a network environment
- Familiarity with cyber security awareness training platforms like KnowBe4
- Hands-on experience in installing software, troubleshooting and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, video conferencing systems, phones, multi-screen video and video wall areas
- Experience in application management for software that supports core business activities including Customer Relationship Management, Business Process Management, Accounting, HR, Project and Resource Management, and Point-of-Sale systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
- High level of organizational skills with attention to detail for asset tracking, inventory management, and maintaining accurate records
- Certification(s) related to IT support such as IT Help Desk Professional, Microsoft IT Support
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to engage in proactive approaches to problem-solving
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and work with a high degree of integrity
- Demonstrated cultural competence and a commitment to the mission and values of DC Central Kitchen; Desire to advance DC Central Kitchen’s mission and be part of a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative team

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be capable of independent local travel.
- Must be able to attend occasional night and weekends.
- May occasionally move Audio/Visual, IT, and other office equipment or lightweight items weighing up to 50 pounds for various meeting and event needs. Some functions of this position may require moderate physical activity, including transporting, positioning, installing, or removing office equipment items, such as printers, computers, phones, and so on.
- May need to occasionally move about inside the office and commercial kitchen space to access supplies, materials, file cabinets, office machinery, etc.; constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer; constantly positions self to access and maintain computer equipment; and must be able to remain in a stationery position for at least 50% of the time.
- Must be able to work in an environment where exposure to unusual elements such as extreme temperatures, fumes, dirt, smoke, loud noise, and a variety of odors is common.
