Data Scientist (TS/SCI + Poly)

The DarkStar Group is seeking a Data Scientist with a TS/SCI Poly clearance (applicable to this customer) to join one of our top projects in Dulles, VA.  Below is an overview of the project, as well as information on our company, our benefits, and our $25,000 referral program.

THE PROGRAM

The Role

• The DarkStar Group is seeking a Data Scientist that is creative and motivated with an innate curiosity at solving data problems.  This individual will be embedded within a multidisciplinary team where they will be responsible for mining complex, multi-modal datasets to identify insights, and make connections within data in support of various efforts.  The individual will be responsible for providing data science expertise in helping the team uncover insights, connect dots, and find hidden opportunities to realize the full potential of datasets.  Your expertise will inform colleagues and management and drive the direction in data science support.

• Experience in statistical analysis, data mining, and pattern recognition.
• Python or R programming proficiency and successful experience applying data science skills with mathematics, computing, and presentation to structured and unstructured datasets.
• Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
• A track record of creative problem solving and analytic thinking
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with team members with varying skillsets and experiences.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects.
• Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.

• Partner with analysts and team members to analyze and visualize multimodal datasets, turning complex data into actionable insights.
• Develop and implement algorithms and models to mine data stores
• Work with software developers and machine learning specialists to deploy analytic models into production
• Perform complex queries for ad hoc requests and data migration
• Stay current with industry developments and maintain technical training to ensure skills are fresh.
