Position Overview
Are you passionate about positively impacting the lives of others and making waves in the world of early childhood education? As an Assistant Daycare Director, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the center.
You’ll collaborate closely with the Center Director to provide a nurturing, enriching, and safe learning environment for children while fostering positive relationships staff and with families. You will help lead the center to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Center Director in managing teaching staff, supporting families, and ensuring that enrollment, accreditation, and operational goals are met.
- Partner with parents to create a shared commitment to providing the best care and education for their children.
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, state licensing authorities, community contacts, and corporate partners.
- Oversee the center’s day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements and maintaining a safe, nurturing environment.
- Lead by example and step into roles as needed, including teacher, cook, or driver.
- Support staff development through coaching, training, and regular performance evaluations.
Qualifications
Education Requirements :
Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential OR 3 semester hours of college credit in administration, leadership, or management OR 3 points of credential-approved training in administration, leadership, or management.
