Overview:

The Goddard School of South Loop is looking for an Assistant Director to help oversee the daily operations of the center. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in early childhood education. The Assistant Director will be Director qualified as per state regulations, with a focus on maintaining a high-quality, safe, and enriching environment for children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations: Assist the Center Director in managing day-to-day operations, including staffing, safety, and compliance with licensing regulations.
• Staff Supervision: Provide leadership, training, and coaching for teaching staff. Conduct staff evaluations and assist in recruitment and retention.
• Curriculum & Program Support: Help implement and support the delivery of the Goddard School curriculum, ensuring age-appropriate learning and development activities.
• Parent Relations: Foster positive relationships with parents, addressing concerns and organizing events like parent conferences and open houses.
• Administrative Support: Assist with financial tasks, including budgeting, payroll, and maintaining accurate records. Support the Director with marketing and enrollment efforts.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (required).
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Director Qualifications: Must meet state-specific Director requirements (e.g., Illinois) including background checks and certifications.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and foster a positive, collaborative environment.
