Job Summary
The Instrument Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining and repairing various instruments and control systems within our facility. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of instrumentation, calibration, and troubleshooting techniques. The ideal candidate will ensure that all instruments are functioning correctly to support operational efficiency and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and calibration of guitars and possibly other instruments to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty instrumentation, utilizing diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Utilize an Ohmmeter to measure electrical resistance in circuits and components (must be able to work on the electronics of acoustic and electric guitars)
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration results in compliance with company standards.
- Change strings, bridge, nuts, frets and other parts of guitar.
- Assist in the installation of new instruments and control systems as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of an Ohmmeter for electrical measurements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex instrumentation issues.
- Knowledge of various types of instrumentation including pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.
- Familiarity with calibration procedures and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
