We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our team, with a strong focus on employee relations, coaching & development, and performance management. In this role, you will work closely with leadership to foster a positive workplace culture, support managers in employee coaching, oversee performance improvement initiatives, and enhance HR processes to drive engagement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee relations, providing guidance on workplace issues, conflict resolution, and policy interpretation.
- Partner with managers to develop and implement performance management strategies, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development plans.
- Support and guide managers on progressive discipline, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and corrective action processes.
- Conduct stay interviews and provide feedback to leadership on ways to improve retention and engagement.
- Lead training initiatives for managers and employees on topics such as leadership development, conflict resolution, and performance feedback.
- Oversee performance review systems, ensuring they align with company goals and foster employee growth.
- Work with department managers to identify staffing and skill needs, create hiring timelines, and help set compensation budgets.
- Take charge of the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and ensuring a seamless onboarding experience.
- Maintain employment records using both a physical filing system and digital human resource management system (HRIS) software.
- Maintain and update human resources documents, such as employee handbooks and company policies.
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration, answering employee questions, supporting employees with enrollment, and ensuring compliance with benefit audits for 401(k), workers' compensation, and ACA reporting
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations and performance management.
- Knowledge of HR policies, employment laws, and best practices in coaching and employee development.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence employees at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with HRIS and performance management systems is a plus.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification is preferred but not required.
Salary : $58,000 - $70,000
