Job Summary:
This is a professional position that will play a key role in expanding the organization’s impact by identifying, cultivating, and securing employer partnerships. This position is responsible for outreach, relationship management, and strategic engagement with businesses to create sustainable employment opportunities for individuals supported by The de Moya Foundation (DMF) Employment Opportunities.

  • Hourly Rate: starting at $26.50 per hour
  • Employment Type: Full-time position (30 to 40 hours per week)
  • Work Location(s): Miami-Dade and Broward counties, Florida
  • Health Insurance available to full-time employees working 30 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business development, employer engagement, or workforce development (preferably in a nonprofit setting).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with business leaders and HR professionals.
  • Passion for inclusion, diversity, and workforce empowerment.
  • Experience using data tracking tools.
  • Ability to travel for employer meetings and networking events, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and research potential employer partners that align with the organization’s mission.
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage businesses in hiring individuals with unique abilities.
  • Conduct outreach, including cold calls, emails, networking events, and presentations to secure employer commitments.
  • Maintain a pipeline of prospective employers and track engagement efforts.

Employer Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with employers to ensure successful partnership outcomes.
  • Provide ongoing support and consultation to employers on inclusive hiring practices and accommodations.
  • Organize and facilitate employer roundtables, networking events, and informational sessions to promote awareness.
  • Work closely with employers to identify job opportunities and match them with qualified candidates.

Collaboration & Program Support:

  • Partner with the internal team to ensure smooth transition and retention of individuals placed in jobs.
  • Develop employer-focused materials, presentations, and success stories to showcase impact.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote employer engagement efforts.
  • Collect and analyze data to measure employer engagement success and identify areas for improvement.
