Job Description
This role operates in an outdoor environment, exposed to grain dust and weather elements. Heavy truck and machinery activity is present, along with work at heights up to 150'. Harnesses and other safety equipment are required in some situations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist all areas of the unloading, loading, and transferring of grain and grain products by truck and rail operations.
- Develop a knowledge of the product being dealt with and its hazardous properties.
- Understand the proper operation of conveyance equipment used in shipping, receiving, and transferring of grain and grain products and their associated safety systems.
- Provide high-level customer service through courteous, helpful, and knowledgeable interaction and behaviors.
Work Environment
This job requires working in confined spaces, climbing ladders, handling heights up to 150 feet, and working in all weather conditions. A manual labor job that necessitates the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
