About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Grain Elevator Location Manager to join our team at The DeLong Co., Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our grain elevator facilities, ensuring efficient and safe handling of grain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead elevator employees to ensure they have the necessary tools and training to perform their duties safely and effectively
- Manage the maintenance and repair of grain handling equipment, including rolling stock
- Create and maintain a good housekeeping policy for the entire location
- Resolve customer issues promptly and professionally
- Approve invoices and manage credit card spending
Requirements:
- Minimum 24 months as Superintendent or 5-year experience in supervising grain elevator operations
- Advanced knowledge in Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulics, and Pneumatic systems
- Ability to communicate within all levels of employees and upper management
- Maintain an active fumigation license in the state operated in
- High School Diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
- Valid drivers license and auto insurance
- Familiarity with MS Office and electronics
