Back Office Medical Assistant - Dermatology

The Dermatology Center at Ladera is seeking a Full-Time Back Office Medical Assistant to join our clinical team in January. Our staff is long-tenured and highly satisfied with the office culture and work-load. This opening is an expansion position to accommodate our practice growth.

We are a busy dermatology office in Ladera Ranch with four Dermatologists that expanded to two Suites on the same floor of our medical building two years ago. Our team provides exceptional medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology in a positive environment where excellent patient care, service, and teamwork are top priorities.

We plan to start an applicant with limited or no medical assisting experience at $19-20 per hour. Applicants with more clinical experience can expect to start higher, depending on their experience. This position is full time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm. No weekend or evening shifts and no work travel is required.

The Back Office Clinical Medical Assistant will join a highly skilled and friendly team of clinical assistants to help our dermatologists with full-body skin exams, surgery, procedures, charting, pre and post-operative care, scribing, and other general clinical duties. Applicants must have strong computer skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills, as becoming a fast-working Electronic Medical Record scribe is a major part of the job responsibility.

Dermatology or related specialty experience is a plus, but we offer comprehensive training for the right candidate irrespective of experience if they are interested in dermatology and ready to learn fast.

This position offers excellent opportunity either for a long-term career or for graduates or students who need to build experience as part of the application process for medical school, physician assistant, or nursing programs. Working in this position is highly educational due to the hands-on nature of the duties. Our back office medical assistants stay with patients throughout the rooming, diagnosis, treatment, and post-visit instruction phases providing a rich learning environment. As our providers are all Board-Certified Dermatologists our medical assistants work more closely with our doctors to provide patient care than the typical Dermatology office.
