What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at The Dimension Group?
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with senior MEP team members in the technical execution of the assigned project duties
- Assist the project team in the production of projects, balancing deadlines to maintain the highest quality
- Assist senior staff in the development of technical construction documents including drawings and specifications
- Under appropriate supervision, actively practice engineering calculations and perform system designs
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 3-5 years practical experience with mechanical design, specifically on commercial projects (restaurant/ retail)
- FE/EIT highly preferred
- On the path to becoming a PE preferred, not required
- HVAC design including heat load calcs, system layout and duct sizing
- Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit
- Great attitude and looking to learn and grow in a team environment
