What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full time rental specialist/front desk wanted for small beach resort position at The Diplomat Beach Resort?

Job requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working at a hotel establishment (highly desired), specifically front desk/office
- Proficiency with computers
- Experience in RNS operating system (highly desired)
- Basic math skills
- The ability to provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Open and close the office, including all phone and computer systems, and respond to reservation emails.
- Prepare the daily housekeeping schedule for the Supervisor/Manager’s review; include checking all rooms that will receive new guests checking in that day.
- Collect maintenance requests, fill out work orders, and give them to Supervisor/Manager.
- Welcome guests and potential guests and answer all questions, whether walk-in, phone or email.
- Make reservations and keep all computers and paper files up to date.
- Prepare for incoming guests. Process incoming guests including completing forms/files, taking payment and explaining property rules.
- Process guests at the end of their stay including asking them for any feedback, ask if all appliances and lights work, try to answer all issues, suggest that they write positive comments on social network sites, Trip Advisor and our website, report to the Supervisor/Manager any open issues, and invite guests to make another reservation.
- Escort potential guests to look at condos, emphasizing features, answer questions and explain rental costs.
- Assist guests in emergencies (example: health, plumbing, electrical)
- Make local trips, e.g., post office, bank as assigned by Supervisor/Manager
- Give order for office supplies to Supervisor/Manager for approval.
- Inventory every condo unit per approved rental standards during the summer months and list what needs to be added, repaired, upgraded or replaced; give to the Supervisor/Manager
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor/Manager, including:
Updating the web site weekly and keeping it functioning well.
Monitor social network sites.
Maintain a list of emergency phone numbers of vendors, trades and services available 24/7
Assist maintenance, custodial, housekeeping or vendors occasionally
Being able to perform duties of other Rental Specialists
- Maintain desk and counters free of clutter and dust
- Wash front office windows and door, including the white key box outside the front office, vacuum office floor as needed, and keep office bathroom tidy
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager
