The DNA Group seeks an experienced Senior Software Trainer and Quality Assurance Analyst to train school-based and central office staff on the District’s Aspen Student Information System (SIS) while supporting the DevOps team in testing and validating new SIS features. This role provides virtual and in-person training, direct user support, and develops training materials. It also involves troubleshooting issues, collaborating with other teams to improve processes, and performing quality assurance tasks such as system testing, issue tracking, and user validation to ensure SIS functionality.
Overview Requirements:
Develop and maintain training resources (manuals, reference guides, webinars, websites) using various mediums such as PowerPoint, video, Captivate, Word, and SharePoint.
Provide virtual and in-person training to central office and school-based staff, both at central office and schools.
Act as a liaison between the training team and other teams to improve processes and relationships.
Serve as the Tier II point of contact for resolving Aspen SIS user issues, logging inquiries in a ticket tracking system, and following up on open issues.
Conduct testing and user validation of the Student Information System, provide office hours support at various sites, and assist in achieving DCPS's mission to close the achievement gap.
Identify and communicate with key stakeholders to gather, review, and analyze business needs.
Liaise between various business departments and groups to assess options for process improvement and application testing.
Conduct research on new or existing products, business processes, and industry standards to support IT initiatives.
Analyze information and statistical data to prepare reports, studies, and system requirements based on user needs and business objectives.
Provide consultation on complex projects, offering expert guidance on systems analysis and the business implications of technology applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
Ability to maintain professional communication skills under pressure and exhibit a high level of patience.
Must have a wide range of skills and knowledge in computer software and an understanding of network applications.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
