Do you have at least 3 years of experience with heavy mobile equipment? The Doe Run Company is seeking a Yard Equipment Operator to safely operate mobile equipment to facilitate movement and transfer of waste material. This dayshift position will be located at The Buick Resource Recycling Facility in Boss, MO.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of three years of experience with heavy mobile equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

- Ability to identify feeds and waste.
- Ability to learn plant layout.
- Knowledge of environmental rules and regulations regarding material handling and storage.
Responsibilities:
- Operate haul trucks and end loaders, moving feed and transferring waste material.
- Transport and place material in proper storage locations.
- Ensure compliance with environmental requirements regarding the proper movement and storage of lead bearing material.
- Perform pre-shift safety inspections on mobile equipment and perform maintenance tasks such as tightening, lubricating, and cleaning
- Complete tasks in a safe and environmentally compliant manner by following EHS (environmental, health, and safety) policies, procedures, and best practices; support and assist peers in working in a safe, compliant manner; report unsafe acts or conditions, incidents, and deviations; and provide feedback to support continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Environment, Physical & Lifting:
- Regularly required to wear personal protective equipment, including, but not limited to, respirator, hearing protection and eyewear. Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise levels, and vibration. Occasionally exposed to extreme heat, confined spaces, and working at heights of 4 feet or more.
- Regularly requires driving. Frequently requires sitting and grasping. Occasionally requires feeling attributes of objects, pushing, and reaching with hands/arms. Requires clarity of vision at 20 feet or more, 20 inches or less, three-dimensional vision, the ability to judge distance and spatial relationships, and precise hand-eye coordination.
- Regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds. Frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to lift up to 75 pounds.
