The Dog Wizard is a dog training company that seeks to make humans’ lives easier and dogs’ lives better. Every member of our Dog Wizard team is extensively trained and experienced in a broad base of training techniques and behavior issues, which allows us to capably address a wide range of training needs. Requirements:
· 3 years previous experience handling and/or training dogs in a full time position
· Must have a clean driving record
· Must be willing and able to board at least one dog at your home on a regular basis
· Must be willing to treat the client and their dog with a high level of respect, communication, and professionalism.
· Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.
· Must pass a drug test, criminal background check, and references.
· Must be able to physically lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Job Duties:
Your Training
· All candidates must successfully complete Advanced Wizard Initial Training regardless if you have previous dog training experience. Hiring is contingent on successful completion of online training and attendance and graduation of hands-on training.
· Must attend continuing education opportunities yearly
Balanced Dog Training
· Follow balanced training guidelines pursuant to The Wizard Way
· Teach on-leash and off-leash skills to clients and dogs in group and private lessons using balanced training methodology
· Conduct evaluations for potential clients and enroll them into appropriately recommended training programs. Follow through with all sales processes
Great Customer Service and a Representative of our Brand
· Respond to and interact with clients on our social media accounts
· Continue maintenance of client relationships
· Arrive to appointments that are scheduled on time and contact clients in the event you may be late
· Advertise and represent The Dog Wizard in the approved territory and support the neighboring The Dog Wizard locations through appropriate referral
· Solicit and facilitate “Ask the Expert”, (businesses where dogs are allowed such as apartment buildings, breweries, vineyards, restaurants, etc.) “Lunch and Learn”, (veterinarians, groomers, other dog services, etc.) and additional grass roots marketing efforts to represent The Dog Wizard’s brand and to promote The Dog Wizard’s services and offerings
Provide Great Care for the Dogs
· Care for all dogs in the business’ care and your own; including and not limited to their nutrition, care, medical care, hygiene, and any other areas’ that would be recognized as proper and humane care of animals
· Sanitize boarding location, business facilities, vehicle and anywhere that client’s dogs may be housed during training
· Professionally and safely operate company vehicle to and from client’s homes, training locations, etc. Always ensure the safe and comfortable transport of the dogs
Be A Great Team Member
· Adhere to The Dog Wizard Code of Conduct
· Must have a Team first mentality. Support each team member and be a team player with the ebb and flow of business.
· Must be willing to work in multiple DC Metro locations when needed.
· Mentor and coach junior trainers
