As a member of the Culinary Training Team, the Safety Coordinator is responsible for managing all areas of safety for new and current culinary hosts and leadership team members. This includes but is not limited to maintaining hosts and leaders required safety records, supervising the Culinary Safety Trainer Program, and facilitating the Culinary monthly safety topics program. All of this will be done in a manner consistent with the mission, values and operating philosophies and standards of the Dollywood Company.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Assist in developing safety programs in relation to food safety, Health Department standards, and Steritech
- Assist with the selection, training, supervision, and annual review of the Culinary Safety & Training Leads
- Hold Safety & Training Leads accountable by completing regular audits on all safety areas, including authorized operator forms, safety critical checklists, Safety Focus Points, Check 5, and monthly safety topic paperwork to ensure compliance
- Coordinate and/or instruct/facilitate training classes for Herschend, Dollywood, and culinary safety processes and procedures for all safety trainers, leaders, chefs, managers, and directors
- Review and submit recommendations to the Culinary Training Area Manager on safety training programs to ensure consistent and accurate material is being taught
- Support the Culinary Training Area Manager with special projects
- Coordinate with the Culinary Training Area Manager the oversight of the Culinary Safety Program ensuring 100% compliance and consistency throughout the division
- Coach and develop culinary safety trainers
- Provide verbal and written communication for necessary safety training classes and safety meetings
- Complete, file, and audit retention records for all hosts, leaders, chefs, managers, and directors of the Culinary Team
- Provide office support as required, including taking messages, receiving visitors, filing records and assisting hosts as needed
- Be an active participant in safety issues relating to personal safety and the safety of fellow hosts and guests
- Audit hosts for safety purposes, including coaching and praise as necessary; this includes but is not limited to observations, paperwork audits, quizzing, etc.
- Take immediate corrective action to prevent unsafe work conditions and practices; collaborate with leadership/managers on positive discipline action as necessary
- Serve as a ServSafe Instructor/Proctor for the Culinary Team
- Serve as an AllerTrain Instructor/Proctor for the Culinary Team
- Facilitate meetings with the culinary safety trainers
- Assist as necessary with the selection, training, and annual review of all culinary safety trainers

Education and Experience Required
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College Degree preferred
- Previous public speaking and presentation experience required
- At least 2 years of training, adult learning, or education experience required
- Bilingual (Spanish) or multi-lingual speaking, reading, and writing preferred
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience preferred
- Must be able to pass and maintain the ServSafe Manager Certification and Instructor/Proctor Programs within 90 days of hire
- Must be able to pass and maintain the AllerTrain Certification and Instructor/Proctor Programs within 90 days of hire
- Proven experience with common office software such as Google Drive, Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.
- Must successfully complete a post-employment offer background check and drug screen
