Since 2009, The Dorm has been a mission-driven, client-centered mental health organization that has been bringing comprehensive, evidence-based treatment to young adults, ages 18-30. We are looking for a passionate intake coordinator to join our multidisciplinary Washington DC team and contribute to our goal of making a difference.

What You Will Do:
Verify insurance coverage and help clients and families understand their benefits, ensuring they have a clear understanding of their financial responsibilities.
Act as a liaison between the program and clients’ families, clearly explaining the program's structure, services and insurance details.
Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments to determine appropriate care plans.
Collaborate with clinical staff to determine the appropriate course of treatment for each client. Ensure timely communication with all relevant team members to facilitate smooth transitions into care.
Oversee the intake process, including scheduling appointments, completing intake.
Record and maintain detailed, confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational policies regarding patient information and treatment protocols.
Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director, tri-weekly group supervision, and co-facilitator supervision as indicated by direct supervisor.
Must be able to work in person Monday through Friday.
What You Need to Qualify:
Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related program in psychology required.
State Licensure in social work or counseling required.
The ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of related experience in clinical settings with adolescents or young adults.
Strong organizational skills with a passion for handling administrative tasks, including client data management, intake paperwork, and scheduling.
Strong understanding of insurance-based programs and prior experience explaining insurance coverage and benefits to clients.
