Summary
The Human Trafficking Crisis Response Manager is responsible for overseeing and enhancing The Dragonfly Home’s advocacy services for human trafficking victims through our 24-hour Human Trafficking Hotline and Field Response Program. This role ensures that crisis intervention, victim advocacy, and emergency response are provided with the highest level of care, professionalism, and trauma-informed practices. The Crisis Response Manager collaborates with law enforcement, medical professionals, and other key partners to facilitate timely support for survivors.
Key Responsibilities
Program Oversight & Management
- Oversee operations of The Dragonfly Home’s 24-hour Human Trafficking Hotline, ensuring a trauma-informed response on hotline calls.
- Manage and coordinate field response efforts, providing direct advocacy in collaboration with law enforcement, medical personnel, and other responders.
- Maintain detailed records, reports, and data tracking for crisis response services in compliance with funding and legal requirements.
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Train and supervise hotline advocates and field response team members.
- Provide 24/7 on-call support as part of a rotating schedule, taking turns with other team members to handle crisis calls and field responses alongside advocates.
Partnership & Collaboration
- Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships with law enforcement, hospitals, first responders, shelters, and other service providers to ensure a coordinated response for trafficking victims.
- Serve as a liaison between The Dragonfly Home and key community partners during crisis interventions.
Direct Advocacy & Crisis Intervention
- Provide emergency advocacy and crisis intervention to survivors identified through hotline calls and field response.
- Assess immediate safety needs and connect survivors with emergency services, shelter, transportation, and other resources.
- Advocate for survivors' rights and needs in interactions with law enforcement, medical professionals, and service providers.
- Ensure all crisis interventions are survivor-centered and conducted with cultural competency and sensitivity.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in social work, criminal justice, psychology, human services, crime victim services, or a related field OR equivalent experience in victim advocacy, crisis intervention, or social services.
- 3-5 years of experience in crisis response, victim advocacy, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with human trafficking victims or survivors of trauma preferred.
- Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention strategies, and victim-centered advocacy.
- Experience collaborating with law enforcement, medical professionals, or emergency responders in crisis situations.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred, with the ability to train and manage staff in high-pressure environments.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in crisis situations.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Flexible schedule required, including availability for on-call rotation and emergency response.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Must pass a criminal background check and adhere to confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
