Today, our portfolio features some of North America’s most revered wineries, including Decoy, Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards, Paraduxx, Goldeneye, Migration, Canvasback, Calera, Kosta Browne, Greenwing, and Postmark.The Senior Brand Manager is a strategic leader who oversees a company's brand strategy and marketing initiatives for Sonoma-Cutrer Vineyards. This role is responsible for developing and implementing brand plans, managing budgets, and ensuring that messaging for a brand(s) is consistent and effective. They are also responsible for agency oversight, digital marketing, social media, public relations, event management, advertising, and packaging design for The Duckhorn Portfolio. The Senior Brand Manager works with The Duckhorn Portfolio Marketing team and with cross-functional partners, including Wholesale and DTC Sales, Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, and Winemaking, to develop and implement plans to meet the company’s long-term strategic objectives.What We Will Ask You To DoDevelop the annual strategic brand plan by analyzing product, category, consumer, and market dynamics to ensure long-term brand growth.Collaborate with the Sales and Marketing teams to set national brand building programs and activations.Manage all aspects of the marketing mix, including product positioning, packaging, national POS development, promotion, pricing, event participation, and all trade and consumer communication.Manage product portfolio mix, including development of new products by providing strategic recommendations on Innovation pipeline based on emerging consumer trends and portfolio whitespace opportunities, package design, and label vintage updates.Lead partnership with media buying agency to develop in-market tests to leverage key learnings to inform increased investment across key initiatives to drive upper funnel brand awareness and lower funnel conversion.Work with Trade Marketing to develop a suite of tools and programs for use in various sales channels.Provide strategic input, in partnership with ABM, in brand health performance and competitive analysis reports to identify drivers / drags on business and develop clear action plans in partnership with Sales to address areas of opportunity.Provide marketing thought leadership and brand-specific insights to the Brand team.Provide leadership, tactical direction, development support, and coaching to Associate Brand Manager and Marketing Coordinator(s).Support the development and evolution of collaborative ways of working across all Duckhorn stakeholders and partners with SBM / Director peer set to co-lead portfolio-wide initiatives / workstreams across Marketing team.What You Will NeedBachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.6-8 years hands-on wine marketing experience with a commercially successful luxury wine brand(s).Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve brand objectives.Proven track record of success with brand planning, POS management, digital marketing, social media, advertising, PR, outside agency oversight, events development and management, package design, sales forecasting, and data analysis.Thorough understanding of the wine industry, including the three-tier distribution system, sales channel intricacies, competitive landscape, and market trends.Thorough understanding of luxury wine, viticulture, and wine production knowledge, as well as experience interacting with wine consumers and trade.Strong financial, business, accounting, math acumen, quantitative analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage a marketing budget.Proven ability to accurately use a variety of data sources to analyze relevant business situations, drivers, and growth opportunities; and to establish facts, develop insights, and draw valid conclusions.Exceptional written and verbal skills, along with ability to confidently speak before groups of customers or employees.Versatile and flexible person who can easily shift gears between fast-paced, dynamic situations and more moderate paced situations, demonstrating patience and enthusiasm while retaining motivation and a strong sense of closure / completion.Results-oriented with a track record of success in accomplishing objectives on schedule and enjoy participating in projects to improve systems and procedures.Strong time-management, planning, and organizational skills.Committed team player, able to work cooperatively and effectively by valuing and respecting the contributions of team members.Advanced computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint; experience with AMS preferred.Able to travel as necessary and work a flexible schedule; travel estimated at 10%.Valid Driver's License and insurable MVR.What We Will ProvideHealth benefits for you and your family, including medical / dental / vision (with a competitively priced employee contribution to premium), and disability, life, and pet insurance.Paid time off and 11 paid holidays.401(k) plan where we invest 10% of your wages every year for your retirement at no cost to you, subject to management discretion.A diverse team of coworkers that care about each other in a fun, exciting work environment.A company that promotes from within, provides great training, and a generous tuition reimbursement program.#J-18808-Ljbffr
